Therapy for Teens
A space to be seen, supported, and empowered to speak your truth.
“Adolescents are not monsters. They are just people trying to learn how to make it among the adults in the world, who are probably not so sure themselves.”
– Virginia Satir
Supporting teens and their families
The teen years can feel overwhelming—for both teens and those who love them. I help teens build emotional regulation, self-esteem, and communication skills, while also collaborating with parents and caregivers to support the broader family system.
Depending on the needs of your teen, parent involvement may include:
A parent-only intake session
Occasional check-in calls
Facilitated family sessions where teens can safely practice expressing themselves
Every teen is different, so each treatment plan is tailored to their needs and your family dynamic. What your teen shares in session is confidential—unless safety is a concern.
What I support
I work with teens who are seeking support around:
Anxiety & depression
Grief, especially after sudden or unexpected loss
Big life changes (divorce, changing schools, graduation, etc.)
Relationship issues (loneliness, dating, conflict with friends or family)
Exploring identity: racial, cultural, gender, sexual orientation, class, ability
Trauma & self-esteem
Developing healthy self-care (screen time, sleep, boundaries)
